Overview

The Patton Model 2016 X.21 to V.35 converter lets a synchronous X.21 device communicate bi-directionally with a synchronous V.35 device. The Model 2016 requires no AC power or batteries for operation and supports data rates up to 2.048 Mbps. Operating full or half duplex, the Model 2016 passes all necessary clocking and control signals, and is transparent to protocol. The Model 2016 connects directly to an X.21 interface using a male or female DB-15 connector. A 6ft (1.8m) cable terminated in a male or female M/34 connector–or a male or female DB-25 connector–plugs into the V.35 device. Various connector and gender combinations, enable the Model 2016 to work in a wide array of networking applications.
