Overview

The Patton Model 1090 KiloModem? is designed for point-to-point, synchronous communication over four wires (two twisted pair).

Supporting nine switch-selectable synchronous data rates from 48 to 160 kbps, the Model 1090 is perfect for high speed leased line Internet links, LAN interconnection, or campus networking at distances up to 11 miles.

The most unique feature of the Model 1090 is user-replaceable QuikConnect? interface modules that allow connection to a variety of interfaces: G.703, V.35, X.21, RS-422 and RS-232.

The Model 1090 boasts V.54 diagnostics, a V.52 BERT pattern generator and seven front panel LEDs.

Transformer isolation and surge protection guard data and connected equipment against ground loops and transient surges. Clocking options include internal, external and receive recover.

The Model 1090 features externally accessible DIP switches, automatic equalization and gain control. The twisted-pair line connection is an RJ-45 jack, and several internal AC and DC power supply options are offered.

Product Highlights

The 1090 Adapts To Your Changing Environments

The compact KiloModemPS? incorporates a feature normally found only on sophisticated rack systems?quick change, plug-in interface modules!

Why limit yourself to one type of interface, when system demands change so rapidly? Today you may need X.21, tomorrow V.35. Be prepared!

There?s nothing worse than getting to the site and discovering that your modem has the wrong interface! Now you can take several interfaces along.

Constantly replacing modems can get quite expensive! Now you can keep your base unit and add different interface modules as the need arises.
