The 1010R16 is a high quality, aluminium construction Rack, designed to hold sixteen data communication accessory cards. Cards are fitted into the rack from the front, and can be removed from the rack without removing power or disconnecting the cabling attached to each individual card.

The High Current plug-in Power Module houses a single large transformer capable of providing up to 6 amps of operating current to the accessory cards. This transformer is greatly de-rated to provide exceptional reliability.

Each accessory card has its own rectifier, filter capacitors and regulators. Every card's power feed is protected by a self restoring positive temperature coefficient resistor (PTC), providing absolute protection and isolation from the other cards in the rack. This protection guarantees that a short circuit failure of any one card will not pull down the entire rack assembly.

The 1010R16 will mount into a 19 inch or 23 inch standard communications equipment rack. Overall height is 4U or 6.97 inches.
