Matrix Switchers What is a Matrix Video Switcher?
A matrix switcher is a special type of
switcher that routes multiple inputs to multiple outputs. Matrix
switchers are commonly used in applications where several inputs
need to be routed to several output devices, such as data or video
projectors and monitors. Thus, matrix switchers provide the ability
to route "any input to any output at any time." For
example, input #1 can be routed to output #1 or output #2; input #2
can be routed to outputs #3 and #4; and so on - in any combination.
