Coastcom's
IP-DSLAM R632 IP DSL Access
Multiplexer
The Coastcom R632 Series IP-DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer)
is a compact, managed, stand alone IP-DSLAM with layer 2 switching capability.
Wire-speed switching and full VLAN support (both port based and tagged-based)
distinguishes the R632 over other comparable products. With two Ethernet network
(uplink) ports and 24 interface
ports of XDSL -- including ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, G.SHDSL, and eight 10/100BT (2u
model) -- the R632 is suitable
for MDU, MTU, Campus, and remote access applications with a reach of up to 6 km.
By daisy chaining via the Ethernet ports, the R632 can easily expand capacity up
to 240 XDSL ports without sacrificing wire-speed switching capability. The R632
fits the standard Telecom rack space with its 1U height. Its compactness is
perfect for limited space or collocation.
The External optional POTS splitter
Design flexibility of the R632 allows direct links with any user's remote xDSL
modem without the POTS splitters for pure internet access without
voice. Utilizing an optional external POTS splitter, the R632 is ideal for both
the Internet and POTS simultaneously.
Scalable Platform for Future Expansion
The flexible design of the R632 allows service providers to start Ethernet
service over the xDSL link at a minimum cost. As the number of subscribers and
applications grow, additional R632s can be added to increase the available
customer base.
IDEAL FOR:
? Bridging IP traffic
? Network traffic extensions

? Remote LAN access
? Right-of-Way applications
? Enterprise/multi-tenant applications
