The R25 MUX

Coastcom's R25 3-Port Mini-MUX Coastcom’s R25 3-port mini-multiplexer provides an interface between the T1 line and a wide variety of customer premise equipment. With two DTE ports, it can be used to connect multiple devices to a T1 network. It can also act as a drop/insert terminal, allowing voice traffic to pass-through to a PBX, while dropping data for remote LAN connectivity, video, or other data applications.

Data port interface cards include V.35, RS-232, EIA-530, X.21 and T1.  Front panel LED’s provide status indicators for both Line and DTE ports. Configuration and control can be done via the front panel, the console port, or remotely, using the SNMP interface.  Two user maps allow for off-line map editing.  A Time-of-Day map switching feature provides flexible bandwidth allocation, according to changing usage patterns.
Diagnostic features include built-in test pattern generator and local and remote loop-back capabilities.  R25 can generate various reports including Performance Monitoring, Alarm History, Line Availability and System Status.  Unit is available in both rack-mount and standalone
packages.
