ConnexModem 2.4 with modem

ConnexModem

ConnexModem wireless modem is a powerful 2.4 GHz radio transceiver combined with a 56K data/fax modem. The complete communication system is comprised of a remote node (ConnexPC), which enables local wireless data transmissions, and a telecom node (ConnexModem), which bridges the local wireless link to a telecom system for longer-range communication.

How it Works

Each device utilizes an industry-standard interface: the ConnexModem attaches to an RJ11 phone jack while the ConnexPC connects to a DB9 RS232 serial port. Both support a point-to-point configuration at baud rates up to 115.2 Kbps. Because the system uses frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology, it provides fast interference-resistant wireless communication even in RF-hostile environments. Since ConnexModem is plug-and-play, any user can set up the system in a matter of minutes. For volume OEM applications, engineering support guarantees developers reduced R&D costs and fast time to market.

Certifications

The 2.4 GHz ISM band is approved virtually worldwide as an unlicensed radio spectrum subject to approval by device. ConnexModem and ConnexPC are approved for operation by FCC (USA), IC (Canada) and CE (Europe). No additional certification is required.
