Deliver Megabit-Speed IP Services
The Access Bank® II/SDSL provides integrated voice and Internet access using
Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL) technology to deliver megabit-speed IP services over a single T1 from the network edge to the LAN. SDSL transports data between an SDSL router or modem and the Access Bank II/SDSL at data rates up to 1.1 Mbps over a single pair of existing unshielded twisted pair wiring at distances up to 12,000 feet.Integrated SDSL technology provides a cost-effective means to overcome customer building installation problems and deliver data services to users, whether they are across the room or across the campus. Existing building wiring provides the connection between the phone closet and the customer LAN access router.
Flexible Configuration and Management Options
Easy-to-use configuration and management capabilities in the Access Bank II/SDSL, in addition to the IP management of SDSL routers, provide comprehensive management of data services all the way to the customer’s LAN. Access Bank management options include SNMP or Telnet management through an Ethernet port, DLI or Windows® GUI using RS-232, or remote T1 FDL management from Access Navigator
TM.The Access Bank II/SDSL provides a highly flexible solution for integrating the delivery of multi-line voice and high-speed Internet access to small and medium size businesses in any location — office buildings, campus environments, or multi-dwelling units.
Features At-A-Glance:
• SDSL, V.35 or RS-232 data interfaces support full and fractional T1 service to meet data deployment needs
• SDSL data transport over single unshielded twisted pair provides the flexibility to deploy customer premise equipment (CPE) up to 12,000 feet away
• Industry standard SDSL interface works with a variety of low-cost SDSL routers and modems
• Ethernet SNMP, CLI, and Access Navigator host management provides both enterprise and remote carrier management of voice and data service delivery
• Low power consumption with AC and DC inputs and economical eight-hour battery backup option increases service availability
• Compact size (one rack unit) and wall or rack-mounted installations save in-service space
