Miniplex UDC 4N1 Product Repeater Version
4-Channel Digital Subscriber Line for
adding voice frequency access lines over existing copper
Verso / Verilink’s Miniplex Universal Digital Channel (UDC) 4N1 system helps telephone
companies meet the growing demand for new access lines delivering plain old
telephone service (POTS) without installing additional copper cable. The
Miniplex UDC 4N1 system uses standard 2B1Q digital encoding to carry four
voice-grade analog circuits over an existing non-loaded cable pair. The system
consists of repeater compatible line card(s) housed in a central office
terminal, a repeater(s), and a remote terminal(s). The system is powered from
the central office to avoid using batteries in the remote terminal (RT) or
repeater (RPTER).
The Miniplex NID remote terminal provides a sealed electronics package, station protection, and RJ-11 demarcation/customer wiring terminals in a standard six-line Siecor 7600 NID housing. The Miniplex DooRT remote terminal replaces the original door of the Siecor 7600 NID and converts the standard NID unit to a remote terminal.
The Miniplex SupeRT remote terminal may be strand-, pole-, stake-, or wall-mounted for flexibility in installation. The indoor remote terminal can be used in apartment wiring closets and other environmentally protected applications where space is at a premium. The pedestal remote terminal can be used in a standard pedestal and is environmentally hardened. Also available, but not shown, is the Keptel 4600XL remote terminal.
The Miniplex repeater is housed in either a SuperRT housing which can be strand-, pole-, stake-, or wall-mounted or the standard dual-wide 239 type package that can be used in existing approved repeater housings. A pedestal mount version can be used in a standard pedestal and is environmentally hardened.
