- The ACE-202 can be used as a carrier-owned
demarcation device or as a corporate concentrator connected to the public
ATM network.
- Extends carrier management and control up
to the customer premises
- Allows service providers to terminate ATM
services or offer LAN, ATM and voice/TDM services over ATM networks
- Supports CBR, VBR (rt and nrt), ABR, UBR
and UBR+
- Allows multiple types of traffic
management, including traffic monitoring, policing and shaping
- ATM interfaces: STM-1, E3/T3, IMA (4 x
E1/T1), 25 Mbps and E1/T1
- Interworking user interfaces (plug-in
modules):
- - Ethernet/Fast Ethernet
- - E1/T1, 4 x E1/T1 and E3/T3 CES
- - Frame Relay (FRF.5, FRF.8)
- - HDLC
- Optional built-in user interfaces: LAN, 25
Mbps UNI or LAN + E1/T1 CES
- Enables VBR (rt and nrt) and CBR traffic
shaping with hierarchical traffic scheduling
- Enhanced control capabilities according to
ITU-T I.610 OAM standard, providing end-to-end ATM QoS control, fault
localization, delay measurements and performance monitoring
- Offers VPI/VCI translation (ATM cross
connect)
- Service Level Agreement (SLA) enabled by
events and statistics collection
- In-band SNMP management and software
download
- RADview-HPOV network management
application (UNIX-based)
