Overview | |
The Patton EPG TS Series lets you design your own “custom” surge protector to fit just about any 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 wire application. How does it work? First you specify the number of lines you need protected. Then you specify the clamping voltage (ex. 18V for RS-232, or 7.5V for RS-422, RS-485, Token Ring or Ethernet) that is optimum for your application. Each surge protector comes with input/output terminal strips and strain relief straps. Simply attach your stripped wires to the surge protector and terminate the ends with whatever connectors you choose. The TS Series provides reliable, transparent protection at data rates up to 20 Mbps, so you can be confident using these protectors in a wide variety of LAN, WAN and datacom environments. Surge energy is intercepted by a solid state hybrid circuit and diverted safely to chassis ground through a braided metal strap. The TS Series can handle repeated surge “hits” up to 1.5 k Watts without degrading in performance. |

Yes, it’s true that Patton EPG manufactures a wide assortment of data line surge protectors–and we’re designing new protectors all the time. But there will always be that one surge protector we haven’t thought of yet. If that one happens to be the one protector you need, take heart! Now you can design your own custom surge protector using our TS Series as the foundation. Here’s two ways to end up with a custom surge protector: Option One - order your TS Series “base unit” (with the correct number of leads and clamping voltage), then attach the cables and connectors yourself. Option Two - call Patton EPG sales with a description of the interface you want to protect. Tell us the number of leads, type and gender of the connectors, maximum transmit voltage and cable lengths, and we’ll quote you a great price on a ready made custom surge protector! Now there’s no excuse for being a surge casualty. |

Our TS Series lets you specify the right number of protected leads for your application. Or you can order a protector with extra leads to cover future requirements. |
