FibroLAN 10/100TX-FX single channel H.CON/MA series

This series is based on FibroLAN’s BMD technology (layer 2 MC). The device converts 10/100Mbps signals from its RJ45 ports to 100Mbps (100Base-FX) on its F/O port and extends them up to 40km. Its TP port operates at auto-negotiation mode allowing connection to any type of Ethernet or Fast Ethernet device, disregarding its duplex mode. The F/O port is set by default to 100Mbps FDX, ensuring maximal distance over the F/O link . It is available with a variety of F/O connectors both single and dual fiber strand. Its diagnostics (3LEDs/5 Functions) make its installation and maintenance an absolute success. It is MA enable therefore can be remotely controller by a managed and MA enabled device (S.CON1M/MA, F.CON8/16/MA, F.CON12/MA/TL or MetroStar) The H.CON/MA series forms the basic CPE solution for FTTx networks.

The H.CON/MA is the industry’s first CPE for FTTx or corporate networks which is remotely managed and maintained eliminating the need of a costly SNMP agent and scarcely available IP addresses. It converts 100Base-FX signals from the Access node into 10/100Base-TX connected to the user, ensuring trouble free interconnection to any type of device or network. While designed as a simple and tamper-free device, a rich and comprehensive set of monitoring and control functions is available from any master unit (MA™ enabled) located in the Access node or network center.

The device is housed in a rugged metal case with massive free-air cooling and equipped with an internal wide-range switching power supply for safety, ease of installation and reliability. Optional DC powered and industrial temperature range models are available. Distance ranges from 2km over m/m/f up to 150km over s/m/f. The H.CON/MA is also available in SFS (Single Fiber Strand) versions saving up to 50% on the cable plant, an extremely significant factor in FTTx economy.
