FibroLAN 10Base-T to 10Base-FL Multiple Channels CTF series

These 19” Rack-Mountable devices (except the mCTF2) implement innovative Media Conversion technologies providing an unconditioned network extension over s/m fiber of up to 40km, in any network architecture (even when such includes repeaters). This series provides the industry highest channel density (16/1U). The devices are fully transparent and automatically adapt to conversion of Half and Full-Duplex transmissions. It is factory pre-configured and several CTF devices can be mixed and stacked to achieve the exact number of channels required while occupying minimal rack-space. Along with its extensive front-panel diagnostics it ensures trouble free network design, installation and maintenance. The optional redundant power-supply increases system reliability, eliminating single point of failure risks.  

Fiber-optic connectivity may be required in networks due to several reasons, distance being the most popular, as the copper connectivity is limited by the standard to a network span of 205m only. Using external multiple –channel media converters in conjunction with UTP hubs or switches has proven to be the most flexible and cost effective method, cheaper by far compared to using switches with integrated fiber-optic ports.
