1. Data Connect is “Different”
a. Brand Neutral - Manufacturers’ sales representatives have brand “tunnel vision”. They can do a great job explaining their brand product and an even better job justifying why their square peg fits well in a round hole. Similarly, most distributor, VAR and integrator sales representatives have been trained to push a limited number of branded products that they focus on finding customers for. Quite different from these traditional channels in developing technical solutions, DCE is focused on identifying the single best solution for a client’s applications while maintaining a high level of brand neutrality. DCE also recognizes that the best solution must also consider the existing brands deployed in the customer’s network

Customer Oriented - Rather than function as other resellers and decide what specific brands and technologies we are going to sell and subsequently seek customers who will buy them, DCE is focused on the need of our existing and expanding client base. As such, we have our clients tell us what business they need us to be in and what services they need us to provide. It is this sensitivity to our customer’s needs that has mandated the recent expansion of our Integration Services department into what it is today and has been the catalyst for the development of our voice/data integration and telecommunications services

a. Committed to Deliver - If a vendor is to be anything, a vendor must be dependable. Clients must know that when they call DCE, a commitment is made to take whatever steps necessary to insure that the client’s needs are met. DCE is well known for our “take the bull by the horns” attitude. If that is what is needed to insure customer satisfaction, then that is what will be done. All too often this is not the orientation that customers are used to seeing in a VAR. More typical is the “I’ll try my best, wish me luck, don’t hold your breath” attitude which usually produces ultimate disappointment.
b. Committed to Succeed - We believe that if we can’t get something done for our clients then nobody can, especially since we will not take no for an answer when it comes to obtaining complete customer satisfaction. Only those who quit before succeeding must live with the consequences of failure.

a. Connected to Information - The most significant value that DCE can bring to our clients is the ability to provide accurate, reliable information in a timely manner. There is nothing more critical to wise decision making than access to critical information. Data Connect’s management has a combined industry experience in excess of 60 years. These years of experience prove to be most valuable in knowing where to get specific dependable information quickly and efficiently.
b. Connected to Suppliers - If information was enough, our job would be a cake walk and any supplier with good connections to people and resources could meet the stringent requirements of our clients. Fortunately, it takes a lot more than just information. It also takes relationships with a broad base of suppliers. And since manufacturers are often the least able to turn on a dime, it takes relationships with other channel partners, not just manufacturers, to get the job done. Data Connect is uniquely connected to the channel world, especially as a result of our leadership position in American Data Networks and Global Data Networks, two companies that have pioneered the consolidation of regional networking VARs into a nationwide and global channel.

a. No Excuses - “Looks like we dropped the ball”. “It must have slipped through the cracks”. Do these all too common quotes sound familiar? You bet they do, and the reason is that complacency runs rampant in this industry. DCE insists that all staff members be conscientious and committed to follow through. If there is a mistake, you can bet it won’t happen again.
b. No Shortcuts - DCE is an active participating member of the Independent Data Communications Suppliers Association, an association for serious data communications suppliers only that focuses on issues related to maintaining fair and open competition so that users can be assured of maximum choices in suppliers and technologies.
5. Data Connect is “Experienced”
a. Experienced in Networking - With an executive management team that has in excess of 60 years of combined networking experience, DCE’s networking experience exceeds that of virtually any regional integrator, particularly when dealing in wide area networking. When you add to this the talent and experience of the executive management of our sister companies in American Data Networks and Global Data Networks, the combined experience is astounding.
b. Experienced in “Hoop Jumping” - The timely fulfillment of a requirement has little to do with networking experience and a lot to do with jumping through fiery hoops. DCE has a lot of experience in both. In the end, it is often the best “hoop jumper”, who knows exactly where and when to pull the strings, that gets the job done.

a. Vim, Vigor, & Vitality - Youthful exuberant is a double edged sword when it comes to getting networking assistance. The last thing you want in a “neophyte” anxious to, with good intentions, blindly recommend a good sounding, but ill conceived solution. On the other hand, who wants a burned out experts help.
