FEATURES
DESCRIPTION

The DCB LL 9.6 FP modem is a full featured fast poll leased line modem with the best price/benefit ratio in the industry. The LL 9.6 FP modem operates over four wire unconditioned leased lines at 9600 bps synchronous or asynchronous. It is an excellent choice for multi-point and point-to-point applications with polled terminal devices.

An LCD front panel or the Network Management Port is used to configure the local modem or perform line diagnostics including the V.54 loopbacks. In addition, the Network Management Port can be used to configure the remote mode.

The LCD front panel is used to set-up the following parameters for the local modem:

Modem Rate
Modem Address
RTS/CTS Delay
RTS Holdover
RTS Stream
RTS Control
Transmit Carrier
Transmit Clock Source
Synchronous or Asynchronous
Receive Level
Transmit Level
Transmit Data Clamp

In addition, the LCD front panel can initiate the following diagnostic tests:

Line Test
Digital Loopback
Analog Loopback
Remote Digital Loopback
Send 1004 Hz tone
Remote send 1004 Hz tone

The LCD front panel continuously updates and displays the receive level. This is the most useful information when diagnosing line troubles with the telephone company.

The Network Management Port is accessed through a 9-pin RS-232-D asynchronous port on the rear panel. It can access all of the set-up and diagnostic tests available through the LCD front panel and be used to configure the remote modem and measure the remote receive level.
