The Exxtenz™ 100/200 Optical Network Terminal enables service providers to deliver cost-effective, integrated high-speed data and voice services, over a PON (Passive Optical Network) infrastructure, to small and medium-sized businesses and multi-dwelling residences. Compliant with the ITU 983.1 and 983.2 standards (FSAN), the Exxtenz 100/200 supports 622/622 symmetrical services with up to 32 ONTs supported on a single PON. Compatible with the Quantum Bridge OLT platforms, Exxtenz offers a low-cost Passive Optical Network (PON) solution for delivering converged voice and IP data services over fiber – with significant CAPEX and OPEX advantages over traditional technologies such as SONET and DSL.
Available in two configurations depending on customer requirements, the Exxtenz 100 supports eight loop- or ground-start FXS connections, while the Exxtenz 200 is capable of supporting 16 lines. Both versions are hardened for outside deployment and equipped with a 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface. Full carrier-class routing to 6 Mbps symmetrical is provided with added services and security, eliminating the need for expensive access routing equipment at the service provider central office. The Broadband Loop Emulation Services (BLES) standard is utilized to provide carrier-class voice services.
