The Total Access® OPTI-MX OMM3LR Module terminates the OC-3 fiber circuit(s)
to feed the OPTI-MX Chassis. It operates only in Terminal mode. It converts the
optical signal into digital electrical signals for distribution through the
backplane wiring to the Tributary Modules.
The following features are supported on the OMM3LR Module:
- OC-3 SONET Long Reach, 1310 nm, Single Mode Optical Module
- SC connectors
- 2 fiber operation
- Redundant (1+1) or Nonredundant operation
- Terminal mode operation
- External BITS timing
- Redundant Primary and Secondary timing inputs and outputs
- Can supply timing to the Tributary Modules
- Timing can be derived from a Tributary Module
- Hot swap capability
- Bridges all DCC channels from the High Speed (HS) interface(s) and Mid
Speed (MS) interfaces to the SCM module
- Centrally managed by the SCM module
